I am a Meditation and Relaxation Teacher, Life Coach and Executive Mentor. My teaching, coaching and mentoring are grounded in the principles of my meditation teaching – awareness, acceptance, curiosity, calmness and humour. I have a longstanding interest in the study and practice of meditation including yoga, Buddhism and secular meditation as propounded by Dr John Kabat Zinn; and am a qualified Life Coach and Level 1 iRest® Yoga Nidra teacher. Yoga has been an integral part of my life on and off for over 30 years and I have enjoyed a regular meditation practice for more than 16 years. I have taught relaxation and meditation individually and in group programs to a wide variety of people for more than 10 years. Individual sessions for meditation and relaxation are available, and a small group ‘Learn to Meditate’ course is held regularly throughout the year. You are also welcome to book meditation or relaxation sessions with two or three friends – and share the cost. Formerly, I was the co-founder and CEO of a not for profit counselling service for anxiety, depression and tranquilliser dependency; and have Business Management experience in the disability sector and Senior Management experience in the not for profit community mental health sector. I have also been a volunteer Board member on a number of not for profit Boards including women’s health and the alcohol and other drugs sector. Executive mentoring provides support and practical management strategies for new Managers, and helps more senior Managers and CEOs with staff or Board relationship issues, strategic planning and risk management. Life coaching individual sessions are provided, with an emphasis on managing stress, finding direction and navigating life transitions.
