I have been a registered psychologist for 15 years and work to enhance the mental health and well-being of women and girls. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked as a Youth & Family Counsellor and maintain a systems approach to understanding well-being and functioning. I provide individual and group therapies for women and girls of all ages and abilities, offer support for parents, partners and related communities. I have extensive experience in treating the full range of anxiety and stress conditions such as social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, relationship and workplace stress, carers stress, generalised anxiety and panic attacks. I have presented and published internationally in the area of anxiety treatment for adults, children and adolescents and completed my PhD in understanding and treating social anxiety disorder. I offer a range of support and treatment options for women and girls with anxiety and stress including individual therapies and groups. My experience working in the field of eating disorders dates back to the mid-1990s, has included decades of supporting people with eating disorders, their families and communities. I have held leadership positions at Royal Melbourne Hospital Eating Disorder Inpatient Unit, The Melbourne Clinic's Eating Disorder inpatient and day programs, and worked on the Executive Committee of the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Eating Disorders of which I am a member. I have also published and presented in this area. I offer a range of support and treatment options for women and girls with eating disorders, their families and communities, including CBT-E, DBT, ACT, Meal Support Training, Mindfulness and feminist approaches to understanding and treating eating disorders and body image disturbance and dissatisfaction. I also have a special interest in autism and offer skills training and support for women and girls on the autistic spectrum. I offer family inclusive support and collaboration as well as support and education for communities including workplaces. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), attachment informed psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy, process-experiential psychotherapy, gestalt techniques and utilise feminist frameworks in understanding mental health and well-being.
